This year's Swedish Business Award in Germany for the category of "Large Enterprises" goes to Securitas. This recognition is based on "particularly successful work in Germany".

On Wednesday, in Hamburg, the Swedish Chamber of Commerce announced very special awards: Securitas receives the Swedish Business Award in the Large Enterprises category, HMS Networks in the SME category and Parkster in the Newcomer competition. The ABB technology group receives an honorary award. The Swedish Business Award has been awarded for 16 years by the Swedish Chamber of Commerce and Business Sweden in cooperation with the Swedish Embassy in Berlin. „I see the Swedish Chamber of Commerce's award as a recognition of our work and strategy, which I would like to pass on – with gratitude – to all our employees. This business award is also an incentive for us to become even better and to sustainably increase the security level of our customers," says Herwarth Brune, CEO of Securitas Germany.

"This year was the German Year for Swedish companies," says Thomas Ryberg, President of the Swedish Chamber of Commerce. "The Hanover Fair, at which Sweden was a partner country, and the 60th anniversary of the Swedish Chamber of Commerce have moved Germany even more into the focus of Swedish companies". And rightly so – because the German market is by far the most important export market for Sweden. The winners of the business award are examples of the successful work of Swedish companies in Germany. The prizes will be awarded in Berlin on 21 November.

Eleven percent of the Swedish economy's exports go to Germany and eighteen percent of Swedish imports come from Germany. Both countries are important trading and cooperation partners. The Securitas Group is headquartered in Stockholm, is listed on the stock exchange and has around 370,000 employees worldwide. In terms of turnover and number of employees – 21,500 employees at the end of 2018 – Securitas is the market leader in Germany.
