Supervisory board expanded and constituted – Securitas Holding board expanded by 4 members to 20

Wednesday, December 20, 2017

Düsseldorf. At the constituent meeting of the supervisory board of the Securitas Holding GmbH in Düsseldorf, Dr. Carl A. Schade was elected chairman of the supervisory board and was thus confirmed in his office. Andrea Weber took over the position of vice chairperson from Dieter Heuser who will remain a member of the supervisory board. The board of the Securitas Holding in Deutschland convened in Düsseldorf on December 15th, 2017, and was reconstituted after the supervisory board had been expanded from 16 to 20 members.

The reason for this expansion is the increased number of people employed by the Securitas Group in Germany – it increased to more than 20,000 employees. Eight of the now 20 supervisory board members are new to the office – partly due to the board’s expansion and partly because previous members were no longer available. The listed Securitas AB, based in Stockholm, owns all of the shares in the Securitas Holding GmbH.
Udo Hansen, who had been a shareholder representative on the Securitas supervisory board since 2008, resigned from the board. Hansen could no longer be a member of the supervisory board because he was elected President of the Federal Aviation Security Association (BDLS, Bundesverband für die Luftsicherheit), whose founding members include Securitas. From now on, Bart Adam, Per Larsson, Dr. Jürgen Linde, Gisela Lindstrand, Aimé Lyagre, Frank Michalak, Kaweh Niroomand, Dr. Norbert Rollinger, Dr. Carl A. Schade and Ulrich Sieg will be shareholder representatives on the supervisory board.

The workers will be represented on the supervisory board by the following Securitas employees: Andrew Hermann, Brigitte Smyreck, Bernd Eberhardt, Dieter Heuser, Andrea Weber, Uwe de Jong and Erich Walch, as well as by Benjamin Roscher, Dieter Altmann and Eva Schmidt as representatives of the trade iunion ver.di.

According to the Lünendonk study “Security service providers in Germany”, published in November 2017, Securitas Deutschland is the market leader in this sector – with sales of 800 million euros and 20,500 employees (at the end of December 2016).
