Securitas Airport Night Run

Berlin-Schönefeld. With more than 6500 runners, the “Securitas Airport Night Run” at BER was a complete success. Around one hundred Securitas employees participated in the race and, on the sidelines of the event, Securitas also provided information on jobs in the security services area, on Securitas plant fire brigade jobs and on modern – technology-based – security solutions.
The eleventh Airport Night Run at the future Berlin Brandenburg International Airport attracted great interest on Saturday. Around 100 employees of the title sponsor Securitas – among them also apprentices from the Securitas Training Center in Schwerin – participated in a total of five disciplines. The event focused on fun, health management and team building. The 4x4000 meter relay race met with the greatest response: Eight Securitas relay teams took part in this race. The Securitas runners received world-champion-like support from the Olympic champions Jan Vandrey and Sebastian Brendel. For many years now, Securitas has been supporting the canoeists in Potsdam. This time, it was the other way around: The Olympic champions acted as trainers and motivators for the sponsor and his hobby runners.
"It was a pleasure for us to support the "Securitas Airport Night Run"; thus, we were able to attract attention as an employer, to acquire new employees and to increase our current employees' interest in the topics of health management and physical fitness," said Dirk Fischlein M.A., Securitas Managing Director of the Aviation segment in Germany. In addition to this, the presentation of a fire engine by the Bitterfeld Securitas plant fire brigade during the event proved to be a major success – the fire truck had been brought here specifically for this occasion.
Apart from its security services, Securitas also offers a wide range of sector-specific solutions. These include, among other things, fire protection analyses and plant fire brigades. Securitas fire brigades operate at European airports in Sweden and France, for example.
Securitas is one of the large employers in the Berlin-Brandenburg region and market leader in the private security industry in Germany.
