Herwarth Brune succeeds Manfred Buhl

Monday, April 1, 2019

Berlin. On 1st April, Herwarth Brune took over the management of the Securitas Holding GmbH, Düsseldorf, as Chief Executive Officer (CEO). He thus succeeds Manfred Buhl (67), Country President of Securitas Germany for many years, who will remain with the company as a consultant. The change had already been decided by the Supervisory Board in mid-December. Brune (52) comes from the personnel service provider Manpower, where he had headed the Management Board since 2013.

"Securitas Germany has enormous potential. I already knew this before – and I could feel it on my first day of work at Securitas in Berlin. I am happy to be able to help shape the success of the German Securitas Group in collaboration with very committed new colleagues. I would like to thank my predecessor Manfred Buhl for his good management over the past decades – as well as for the smooth and trusting handover. It is good to know that he is still by our side," said Brune in Berlin on Monday.

"I would like to thank my management team and above all the employees for their many years of trustful cooperation. Without them, the success of Securitas Germany would not have been possible. Please, support my successor, Herwarth Brune, just as actively and enthusiastically. Thank you very much," said Buhl on Monday at a staff meeting at Potsdamer Str. 88, the headquarters of Securitas Security Services in Berlin. Buhl had been Managing Director in the group since 1991, making him the longest serving Managing Director in the German organization of the Swedish group. The Securitas Holding GmbH is a wholly-owned subsidiary of the stock-listed Securitas AB, based in Stockholm. Born in Forst/Brandenburg, Buhl was Chairman of the German Management Board for more than 15 years.
