The security industry in Germany is a growth market – and it will continue to grow. This has been revealed by the latest “Lünendonk study 2015 Führende Sicherheitsdienstleister in Deutschland” (leading security providers in Germany) published on Thursday.

In the reporting year, Securitas Deutschland has established itself as a market leader in this sector, with sales of 669 million euros and more than 19,000 employees in Germany. Despite some acquisitions, once again Securitas stayed well-ahead of the competition. For the current business year 2015, the study describes effects of a "Sonderkonjunktur" (exceptional boom), thus providing a positive outlook.

"The fact that we are leading the top-ten list in the German security industry confirms our strategy, which consists in offering our customers integrated security solutions combining personnel and technical services in an efficient way," Manfred Buhl, CEO Securitas Deutschland, comments on the result of the latest Lünendonk study. "We will continue on our track and, for our customers, we will invest in their safety and safety technology," added Jens Müller, COO Securitas Deutschland.

The growing trend in the sector is expected to continue; the security requirements of public and private customers are on the increase. Accordingly, Securitas Deutschland increases its investments in know-how, in technical equipment, and especially also in basic and advanced training of the employees. The Lünendonk study realistically describes the increasing competitive pressure in the sector. "We are willing to face the competition, but it is important that the price is not the sole criterion for awarding contracts; the quality of the services should also be taken into account more strongly," said Manfred Buhl who is also Vice-President of the Federal Association of German Security Companies (BDSW, Bundesverband der Sicherheitswirtschaft).
